EMDR.

Not Just for ANxiety, overwhelm & Trauma

EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that supports deep healing, without needing to retell or relive painful memories.

Originally developed for PTSD, it’s now widely used to help people move through anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm and patterns that just won’t seem to shift.

A Gentle, Client-Led Process

EMDR follows a structured approach. We begin by building safety and stability — developing internal resources, calming the nervous system and gently preparing you for whatever comes next. Your EMDR journey will be unique.

There’s no pressure to dive straight into difficult material. Many of my clients find the early resourcing phases deeply grounding and healing in their own right. We go at your pace, always.

What EMDR Can Help With

EMDR vs Coaching — What's the Difference?

Coaching is forward-facing: it’s about goals, action and growth. EMDR works differently. It’s about reprocessing what’s stuck — clearing the emotional residue of old experiences and rewiring the responses that no longer serve you.

Some clients come to me for EMDR alone. Others begin with coaching, and we discover together EMDR might support the deeper work. Some choose to weave both together at different stages. I’ll always talk this through with you, and we’ll make sure the approach feels right, safe and well paced.

Is EMDR Right foR You?

You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t need to have a name for what you’re carrying.

EMDR might be right for you if:

  • You’ve tried talking therapy, but something still feels stuck or unresolved

  • You’re caught in patterns of self-doubt, anxiety or shutdown that you can’t think your way out of

  • You feel ready to heal something you’ve been carrying for a long time

  • You want to feel safer in your body and more at ease in yourself

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes, depending on what feels right for you and the work we’re doing together.

Shorter sessions work well when we’re building emotional tools, settling your nervous system or exploring gently. Longer sessions give us more space to move through difficult material without rushing or leaving things in mid-air.

Some people feel noticeably lighter after a single session. Others experience steady, quieter shifts over time. There’s no right way for this to unfold — and wherever you are in the process, we’ll always finish each session in a settled, grounded place.

If you’re curious whether EMDR might be right for you, I’d love to talk it through. You’re welcome to get in touch with any questions or book a free initial consultation to explore what working together might look like.
